THE WINTER SEASON MISSION

The Winter Season Mission, held last July 31,2019, Wednesday, in Iloilo was not only significant, but also a complete success. 

The said mission was held simultaneously with the celebration of Nutrition Month in which they distributed sleepers, umbrellas, raincoats to some pupils in Namocon Elementary school.

More than 200 pupils that they had selected from elementary to grade seven received the needed supplies.

The pupils were very grateful and happy after receiving the said supplies from MCVO through MCVO Iloilo TigbauanChapter headed by President Rafael Dela Torre along with his officials and members.

The Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) conveyed its thank to the MCVO leadership and to all the sponsors for their supports especially the MCVO -The Netherlands Chapter, MCVO Italy, MCVO Spartanz, Van Tol family, Mhie Taton, Janey Carcueva, Marinette Alburo, Nora Robles, SayrilCahilig Seniel, Jieliana Maxine David and MCVO Islamabad Chapter whose 1st year anniversary was just held last July.

MCVO KANANGA CHAPTER MISSION

The mission of MCVO Leyte Kananga Chapter, held last August 6, 2019, Wednesday, was successful. 

They distributed school supplies to fifty (50) pupils in Natubgan Elementary School located in the town of Kananga.

You could see the faces of pupils full of happiness after receiving the school supplies.

The MCVO also thanked all the sponsors for making this project worthy and possible. 

OFW ATTEMPTED RAPE. 

An OFW asked for help from MCVO after her employer had attempted to rape her in Saudi Arabia.

They identified the victim’s name as Isabel (not her real name), a domestic helper at Al Mhukatat, Hulaifa, in HailKingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to Isabel’s account, her male employer suddenly embraced her with a kiss on her forehead and touched some sensitive parts of her body. He did the obscene acts while his wife, a teacher by profession, was not home.

The said OFW sought the help of MCVO last July27, 2019, and the latter, led by MCVO Action Team, immediately actedupon to help her.

She is now under the custody of Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), an overseas operating arm of the Department of Labor, in the said country, while she is still waiting theschedule of her return to the Philippines this Month of August.
